Canada Electric Vehicle Rebate 2024. As of october 1, 2024, the federal government will limit eligibility for support under the zero emission vehicle infrastructure program (zevip) to products made in countries which have negotiated free trade agreements with canada. Applications will be accepted throughout 2023 and 2024.
This is yet another step the government is taking to make electric vehicle (ev) charging more accessible for canadians and to help install over 84,500 chargers where canadians live, work and play. The program, launched in 2019, offers a $5,000 rebate for fully electric vehicles and $2,500 for hybrid vehicles.
